Nothing we publish is investment advice. Every figure is sourced and dated, every call is an opinion, and every market we cover can lose you money.
Effective September 17, 2026
1. Not advice
Invest Alternative publishes journalism and educational analysis about alternative markets. Nothing on investalternative.com, in the Invest Alternative newsletter, in our guides and reports, in our indexes, or in any email or social post we send is investment advice, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset, security, token, fund, or collectible. It is not tailored to you, and it does not take your financial situation, objectives, or risk tolerance into account.
2. Not a registered adviser or broker
Invest Alternative is not registered as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission or any state securities regulator, is not a broker-dealer or a member of FINRA, and is not licensed to give financial advice in any jurisdiction. We rely on the publisher’s exclusion for bona fide publications of general and regular circulation. Consult a licensed professional before acting on anything we publish.
3. No offer or solicitation
Nothing we publish is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security or other asset, in any jurisdiction. Where we describe a platform, fund, offering, or product, we do so to explain how it works, not to invite you into it. Many of the products we describe are available only to accredited investors under U.S. law or to residents of particular countries; eligibility is between you and the issuer.
4. The IA Take, the scorecard and our opinions
The “IA Take”, “The IA view”, our decision rules, thresholds, and every forecast we make are opinions, formed on the date they were published, on the information then available. We log and grade our calls publicly because we think that is the honest way to publish opinions; a graded record is not a promise about the next one. Opinions may change without notice and we are under no obligation to update a piece after it runs.
5. Performance figures
Past performance does not predict future results. Historical returns quoted for any market, index, fund, platform, or asset are drawn from the sources named in the piece and may exclude fees, taxes, storage, insurance, and the round-trip costs that decide most outcomes in these markets. Worked examples are hypothetical: they show the arithmetic of a hypothetical purchase under stated assumptions and are not a record of any actual trade. Returns claimed by a platform or fund are that platform’s claims, labelled as such, and have not been audited by us.
6. Our data and indexes
The IA Composite, its sub-indexes, the sales tape, and the other figures we compute are built from public sources, licensed data, and our own daily collection on the methodology at /index/methodology. They are provided for information, may be marked provisional, may be revised, may lag the market, and can contain errors from upstream sources. They are not investable products, not benchmarks for any fund, and not a substitute for a price quoted by a venue at the moment you transact.
7. Accuracy, sources and corrections
We source and date every figure and we fact-check before publishing, but we rely on third parties (auction houses, exchanges, data vendors, filings, and the press) whose figures can be wrong, revised, or stale, and we make mistakes of our own. We correct material errors in the next issue or on the page. If you find one, reply to any issue of the Letter or write to Invest Alternative, 1065 SW 8th St #2079, Miami, FL 33130, United States.
8. The risks of these markets
Alternative assets carry risks that public stocks and bonds do not. They are often illiquid, with no continuous market and no assurance you can sell at any price. Many are unregulated or lightly regulated. Valuations may be appraisals rather than transactions. Fees, commissions, buyer’s premiums, storage, insurance, and taxes (including the 28% U.S. federal rate on collectibles gains) can consume much or all of a gain. Fraud, forgery, theft, counterparty failure, platform failure, and changes in law are real hazards. Crypto assets can lose most of their value quickly. You can lose your entire investment in any of the markets we cover.
9. Positions and conflicts of interest
The people who write and edit Invest Alternative may own assets in the markets we cover, and may buy or sell them, including after a piece runs. We do not trade on a piece before it is published, and we disclose a position in a specific asset we write about when we hold one. Where the Letter carries a sponsor or a piece contains an affiliate link, it is labelled in the piece. Sponsors and affiliates never see or shape editorial before it runs.
10. Forward-looking statements
Statements about what a market, price, policy, or company may do are forward-looking, involve known and unknown risks, and may prove wrong. Do not rely on them.
11. Your responsibility
You are responsible for your own research, your own decisions, and compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction. By using the Site or reading the Letter you agree to our Terms of Use, of which this Disclaimer forms part, and to our Privacy Policy.
